A Prayer for Your Journey

A Prayer for Your Journey

To all my fellow travelers
those whose souls are road weary and those whose hearts are racing full-steam ahead

May your path lead you to pleasant places …

May you knock on doors of opportunity and pause at intriguing places along your journey to reflect, listen, and learn

May you savor time with God  in awe and worship wherever you are along the path …

May there be places to rest your weary feet by water’s edge …

May you have someone to walk with you  who cares enough to bring along  dark chocolate in their back pocket  😉  …

And may you resist the urge to take the short cut, opting instead for the more scenic route so as not to miss the greater beauty …

May you find strong, solid roots to keep you grounded and sure-footed along the path God has marked out for you …

May there be bridges of hope to help you ford those muddy, uncertain places …

May a table be spread  before you and your joy be full

And as you come around the bend, may the sun shine down on you and warm you from deep within  …

And may you  smile as you lift your face to the sun while it  dances along the water’s surface

“The Lord bless you
    and keep you;
 the Lord make his face shine on you
    and be gracious to you;
 the Lord turn his face toward you
    and give you peace.”

Numbers 6:24-26 (NIV)

My kids tease me sometimes that my definition of a situation going well is often described as, "It was 'life-giving' " -- meaning, it may have had some conflicts or uneasy moments or stress but all in all , something about it breathed life into the situation and the people involved...something of the heart was moved in a good direction. I'm all about LIFE ... life with my husband, life with 4 adult children, their spouses and 8 grandchildren (to date, that is :), life in our home and life in a wild adventure we tend to label "ministry". In reality , all of these categories mesh together to make up the "organic me". Relational , redeeming and restoring are some of my favorite words and they give life to my soul as I walk it all out with Jesus Christ, the Giver of all life. Profile Photo by: Melody Martin

      You will love it. The chapel was so amazing out in the middle of the woods. Very peaceful place. Good for my soul to be near water, you know. 🙂

      So glad it did, Jen. Out of our own “stuff”, God usually brings encouragement for others, it seems. ♡
