Grand Finale {Finding Life :: A 30-Day Challenge}

Grand Finale {Finding Life :: A 30-Day Challenge}

From Baby Feet to Blessings and Meditations to Mysteries …this has been a wonderful, wild adventure!  30 Days of looking for life under every rock, around every corner, on paths, in the sky above and the trees and flowers below, in faces and conversations with others, and the melodies of love sung over me.

There have been days it’s been a   s t r e t c h   to find life — as well as  days it was hard to contain it all in one writing.

The mix of life.  Always the mix!

The most common thread throughout the search for life has been finding God’s love everywhere.  Only in His love can true life be found.  His love is the beginning of all life.

God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him.

I John 4:9 NLT

God’s Love … Life !

And in typical God-fashion-way, on the last day of this challenge, He showed me another heart.   I’ve walked down this hallway many times before — yet missed the heart until today!  God continues to carve out His love for me and you while He’s engraving our name in the palm of His hands.  Forever held.  Forever secure.

My heart is full of thanks for those of you who took the challenge with me and ventured into the journey of finding life together.  You encouraged me on many days when I wanted to fold up the words and call it “done” before it was finished.  The words you shared in person or here on this space brought life to my soul.  Thank you so much!

This is not the end, however.  Endings only bring about new beginnings.  God is always doing a new thing and I’m looking — with anticipation — to the surprises He has around the corner.  I know it will be a mix of rain and sunshine, joy and sorrow …but I know that God will never, ever abandon me in the process.  My eyes are fixed on Jesus, the true Author and Finisher of my faith.

Keep looking!  Don’t stop!  Write it down.  Speak it out there somewhere!  Share life with others. Take the life of Jesus with you wherever you go and let His life and love and light shine through you!   Be a life-giver!

The Best is yet to come!

Woohoo!!!  We made it!  #Day30 ~ Finding Life :: A 30-Day Challenge

Joy Waters Martin

My kids tease me sometimes that my definition of a situation going well is often described as, "It was 'life-giving' " -- meaning, it may have had some conflicts or uneasy moments or stress but all in all , something about it breathed life into the situation and the people involved...something of the heart was moved in a good direction. I'm all about LIFE ... life with my husband, life with 4 adult children, their spouses and 8 grandchildren (to date, that is :), life in our home and life in a wild adventure we tend to label "ministry". In reality , all of these categories mesh together to make up the "organic me". Relational , redeeming and restoring are some of my favorite words and they give life to my soul as I walk it all out with Jesus Christ, the Giver of all life. Profile Photo by: Melody Martin
